TEEN VOLUNTEER
TEEN CHEF
High school students who are interested in developing hands on skills in the kitchen, nutritional knowledge, team building and leadership skills, and how to make a difference in the community. Must have own transportation.
WHO?
WHAT?
Work alongside fellow volunteers to prepare meals under the guidance of our Culinary Director.
You will be preparing hundreds of meals to be delivered to your neighbors experiencing critical and chronic illness. You will learn a variety of cooking techniques, package meals, wash dishes and (of course), clean. This is hard, meaningful work and we appreciate your interest in supporting our mission to build a healthier community through food!
A commitment of once every other week (Tuesday or Wednesday) in the kitchen for a minimum of one semester:
August - December (Fall Semester)
January - May (Spring Semester)
June - July (Summer Semester)
Fall & Spring Semester: Program shifts are from 4:00pm - 6:30pm (Tuesday or Wednesday).
Summer Semester: Program shifts are from 9:00am-12:00pm or 1:00pm-4:00pm (Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday).
